Winter 2011 saw Nars bring out an 11 piece collection modeled by the Italian model Mariacarla Boscono. The 11 piece collection is made up of darker shades to transition you into those winter months full of Christmas parties and the office work do.

The collection is made up of the following:
- The Multiple in G-Spot
- Lip Gloss in Albatross
- Eyeshadow in Arabian Nights
- Highlighting Blusher in Miss Liberty
- Semi Matte Lipstick in Joyous Red
- Cream Eyeshadow in Ponderosa
- Nail Polish in Endless Night
- Nail Polish in Space Odyssey
- Duo Eyeshadow in Mandchouris
- Larger than Life Long wear eyeliner in Campo de' Fiori and St. Marks Place.

The eyeshadows are highly pigmented with light reflecting, shimmering particles. They can be applied wet or dry depending on the desired intensity. The nail polishes come in a dark red colour and a silver shade that reflect the atmosphere of the given season. Like Nars's other multiple sticks, they can be used on the lips, cheek and eye areas. Larger than life long wear eyeliner in Campo de' Fiori and St. Marks Place also reflect the atmosphere of the season. The gold and purple liner compliment each other perfectly which can be worn day or night, perfect for the winter season! The aptly named Lipstick, Joyous Red, reflects the colour of the season. The rich, vibrant colour comes in a semi matte format, giving you the hydration you expect from a satin lipstick, mixed with the matte texture that can last all night.

Once again, Francois Nars was the photographer behind the 2011 Winter Collection.

The advertising featured bleached out eyebrows, a look that has become very popular in the last few years with the likes of Cara Delevingne for Givenchy and Kim Kardashian for Love Magazine, all bleaching their brows for an intense focus on the eye area. The collection is alot sexier then previous collections throughout the year to show what the customer could look like during the party season. The campaign focuses on statement, evening looks.

During winter, Nars also brings out a holiday collection. 2011 saw Nars bring out Modern Kabuki, a collection based around the inspiration Francois Nars found whilst travelling around Japan. The inspiration came from Kabuki, a traditional style of theatre in Japanese culture known for its elaborate style and makeup.

The collection includes The Nagauta Kabuki Brush Set which is still available across concessions today. The brushes have an interesting handle, which looks like traditional tools of Japanese culture, used to create art.

The brushes are made out of real animal hair, which is slightly controversial in terms of animal cruelty and testing. Nars continually states that they do not test on animals, however animal products are found not only in the brushes but also in the makeup products. The animal hair creates a good quality brush, however vegan options could be introduced to appeal to a wider audience. Nars website has a whole section based on animal cruelty and why animal hair is used instead of other alternatives.
